FAQs

All the questions you may have before your off-grid stay with us in the Cotswolds!

The first book, Lion, Witch & The Wardrobe was written in 1949 by C. S Lewis! But that is not what you are after is it...

  • Where are the Cotswolds cabins?

We have two Cotswolds spots: hillside cabins near Andoversford (close to Cheltenham) and woodland cabins near Chedworth (close to Cirencester).

Both are in great locations - quiet, private and made for switching off.

  • Whats included / what should we pack?

You do not need to bring much. We provide the essentials; you bring the cosy.

Our cabins provide the cooking essentials you would expect basic cooking ingredients and eco-friendly soaps and shampoos.

We suggest bringing food and the right equipment to enjoy the outdoors - Think comfy layers, walking shoes, a torch for night strolls and your favourite snacks.

  • How do I get to the cabins by train?

For Andoversford, the nearest major station is Cheltenham Spa.

For Chedworth, Kemble or Cheltenham Spa work well.

Pre-book a local taxi from the station and to take you to the site.

  • How many people can stay?

Each cabin is designed for two adults with a king sized bed. It’s a cosy, romantic setup made for couples or close friends.

  • Can I bring my dog?

100%. We have a cocker spaniel who loves chasing the butterflies!

Please bring your usual dog bits (lead, towel, bowls) and keep muddy paws in mind inside the cabin.

We provide stakes in all our cabins. For a little bit more space to run around we suggest Edmund or Tirian.

  • Is there signal at the cabins?

We keep tech light to help you switch off so there is no wi-fi. There is signal at our Cotswolds cabins but this can vary by network.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-out is at 10am. Check-in is at 3 pm.

We make arrival nice and easy with clear directions and self check-in.

  • How do I get to the cabins by car?

We have parking near the cabin. We will email you the what3words location of where to park.

  • Is there heating and hot water?

Yes — you’ll be toasty. There’s heating and a hot shower in every cabin.

  • Does being off-grid impact my stay?

Power is a precious commodity. We kindly ask that all guests try to use electricity and water as sparingly as possible and use the opportunity to try to 'disconnect' from electrical devices and be conscious of the water we waste. Overuse of power simply means the batteries will be depleted quicker and are more likely to run out during your stay.

  • What’s nearby for food and walks?

You’re spoilt for choice: classic Cotswolds pubs, farm shops, woodland loops and rolling hills.

We’ll send our favourite walks, pubs and day-trip ideas in your pre-arrival guide (including options close to both Andoversford and Chedworth).

Favourite spots near Andoversford - Dunkertons, Artisan Boulangerie, The Frogmill

Favourite spots near Chedworth - The Stump, Knead Bakery,

  • Is there parking?

Yes - parking on site at both Andoversford and Chedworth.

  • Is it good for a romantic stay?

That’s the idea. Private outdoor space, big skies, slow evenings by the fire, and no distractions. Perfect for two.

  • Can we use the firepit and do you provide logs?

Yes - there’s a firepit/grill at each cabin. We'll let you know about logs/charcoal in your arrival info (what’s included and where to pick up extra locally).

  • Do you sell gift cards?

Yes - cabin gift cards are available. Drop us a message and we’ll sort it.
